Get a logo for your side-project in only 10 days.
If you have a side-project you love, now’s the time to make it real & make it yours with a custom logo, fresh colors, & more.
When you’re ready to share your side-project, the last thing you need is a clumsy logo.
The cut-rate designs on freelance marketplaces can often feel thrown-together, with little research or care.
That makes them less likely to connect with you or (worse) your audience.
You deserve a logo that tells your story with clarity. And care.
Perhaps you’ve noticed it’s the side-projects with the crispest logos & freshest colors that thrive in the marketplace. You can get that here.
A clear logo helps you...
..make things real.
The right identity inspires belief in yourself: your purpose, your vision, & your power. Not today, imposter syndrome.
...grow a business.
Merely thinking through an identity helps clarify your values, your audience, & your path to growth.
...find your people.
A thoughtful identity attracts the right audience to your side-project. And keeps them coming back.
Building a side-project?
I know what that's like.
My partner & I started Thinkery, a creative space for families, here in Baltimore several years ago. We knew our audience & developed an identity that spoke to what they wanted most. We treasure the connections & community that grew around it.
Does that sound like something you'd like for your own side project?
Client Feedback
I've helped people just like you take their side-projects to the next level.
If you’ve got a side gig & need help with identity or branding, we can’t recommend Geoff highly enough.”
Scott Gustafson
Owner, Atlee Holland
He's so thoughtful and knowledgeable about fonts & colors.
And he's an absolute delight to work with!”

A selection of my work.
Let's discover the core of your creative passion & give it form.
Atlee Holland
Feature one
Atlee Holland
As Scott Gustafson's home remodeling side project started taking off, he kicked it into another gear with a logo & consistent branding. Together, we honed in on a mark that communicates growth & change to his Kansas City-area clients.
In addition to the logo, I designed a custom wordmark for Atlee Holland, integrating organic shapes into an otherwise geometrical design.
MedPhysLindsay
Feature two
MedPhysLindsay
Medical Physicist Lindsay Jones leveraged her expertise & reputation to become a physicist-for-hire. To come up with the logo, we merged her sunny personality with a radiation wave.
The design also uses a modified typeface from an independent type foundry. I only license fonts from independent designers, never from type foundries owned by private equity firms.
Thinkery
Feature three
Thinkery
My partner & I started Thinkery in 2019 as a place for families to engage in open-ended, messy play. We loved watching the community grow around an idea that we only intended to be a fun side project for our family!
This lockup also uses a modified typeface from an independent foundry. Modifying a typeface can bring it into harmony with the shapes and tone of the logo itself.
Light Street Church
Feature four
Light Street Church
I had so much fun guiding a diverse congregation in South Baltimore through the process of developing a unique identity and consistent brand. The logo communicates the church's urban setting & mission, while also integrating elements of worship, & even the building itself!
The shapes of this logo can be mixed up & used to create eye-catching words & images in printed material.
How it works.
3 simple steps. Discovery. Creation. Delivery.
Discovery Workshop.
Day 0. In this free half-hour workshop, I get the chance to learn about your side project, & where you want to take it.
You'll begin creating an identity with me right away, even if you decide to go it alone later.
Creation.
Days 1–5. Fresh off our workshop conversation, I begin playing with the branding possibilities of your side project.
Day 6. In this brief workshop, I'll share two proposals each for your side project's logo, typography, & color scheme! After you choose one, we move on to...
Refinement.
Days 7–10. I'll refine your selection based on your input. You'll receive everything you need to share, brand, & build your side project into whatever you want it to be.
Choose from 1 of 3 options.
Your side-project might need only a logo. We've got that.
Maybe you need a landing-page or a fancier website? I can do those too!
FAQs
I'm happy to address any aspect of our partnership during our first meeting in the free Discovery Workshop. But here's a few answers to get you started...
I've started side-projects before, and understand that it can be difficult to invest your hard-earned money in something that you do, by definition, on the side. But I also understand how rewarding it can be to build your side-project into a real, live thing: a service, a product, a community, or simply an opportunity to create and connect with yourself.
Taking your side-project to that level requires a new level of commitment: to gain the trust of potential clients and partners, and to communicate to everyone (including yourself) that your side-project is here to stay. A thoughtful logo helps achieve these immediate goals for your side-project, while also serving you well into the future.
The cheaper options available on the mass of freelance marketplaces simply can't offer the level of care, research, and attention-to-detail that you'll find here with me.
I'm a one-person shop. I keep my overheads low by working from home.
And I have designed my process to eliminate waste & clutter. I've purposefully limited my scope to the things I'm best at: crafting strong, memorable designs without the fuss.
I've streamlined my process because I know that everything seems to happen so slowly when you're ready to take that next step with your side-project. One frustration can lead to another and, before you know it, you wonder why you ever wanted to move forward in the first place.
So it's about momentum: yours and mine. I'm here to guide you into the right design, and then to get out of your way as you take off with it on your creative journey.
Yes.
When you arrange the meeting time with me via email, I'll send you a brief Discovery Worksheet. That's where you let me know the nature of your side-project, your goals for it, and any design preferences you might have. I'll use that ahead of our first workshop together to brainstorm some ideas to get the proverbial ball rolling.
